Progress
Well, it has slowed a little over the weekend, mostly due to me putting together a new website for the Victorian Go Club....it's the best Go website an Australian club has, if I do say so myself. So, I've decided, no new Go study material until I finish Tesuji by Davies...I've had this book unfinished for too long!

Second week at Go Club
Well, I got a thumping at Go Club tonight...well, not really. Three losses, but not bad losses, very close games which my opponent described as exciting. Can't really think of a better compliment :) I mostly lost due to my carelessness with forming double eyes and my opponents focus on destroying any chance I had of forming eyes before I saw him doing it. Oh well, I learnt a lot and by the third game, I was playing a lot stronger than I had earlier. All in all, very happy with tonight.
On top of that, they've let me put together a new website for the Victorian Go Club...should be fun! :)

Urghh...online play not so good
So, I sat down last night to play a few ranked games. That didn't go so well. Unfortunately, my exceedingly click-happy nature when playing online came to the fore, and things went badly. I found myself clicking without reading ahead at all, and playing to save stones long after it was obvious they were dead.
Suffice to say, I lost both games.
On the bright side, losing always teaches something. In this case, it taught me to slow down and read things through. Ignore the timer...I always finish with mountains of time spare anyway. Lifein19x19.com has been helpful. My post is here: http://lifein19x19.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=3583
Off to Go Club tonight...lets hope I remember my lesson!
edit:
Played two games at once for the first time...not easy! Even against one person with a 9 stone handicap and another with a 5 stone...made mistakes I shouldn't have, but won both. I figure posting a record of the games I play here should allow me to keep track of how many I'm playing a week.

First post!
Why the blind path? Because I have no idea what lies between here and Shodan! I know where I'm going and I have a vague idea of where I am, but, how many games will I have to play? How many life and death problems? How many games on KGS?
I've decided to use the KGS rankings to determine when I reach 1dan, as it appears as though the dan rankings on there are quite good.
So far, my goals are:
I'll try and put forward a status update once a week on Friday's!

So far, my goals are:
- Play at least 10 games per week
- Complete 100 Tsumego per week
- Review my serious games
- Achieve SDK within two months
